The warehouses at Auschwitz where the Nazis stored the belongings taken from the prisoners were nicknamed Canada [Kanada] by the prisoners because of the abundance of goods there (clothes, gold teeth, suitcases. hair, etc.)

I kept seeing Canada I, Canada II, and so on when referring to the warehouses, so I had to look it up on the internet. It made me feel... strange to keep seeing the name Canada on the exhibit signs.
